Awareness campaigns across Kampala’s five divisions, and screening at Uganda Martyrs Day that found 11 TB cases.
Faith-based organisations shape how communities think and act, so USTP organised TB awareness campaigns at 15 places of worship across Kampala – three in each of the city’s five divisions.
The campaigns encouraged open dialogue about TB stigma, early diagnosis and prevention. Religious leaders delivered messages of hope and solidarity, reaching thousands of worshippers and building a foundation for continued community TB education.
USTP also supported TB awareness and screening at the Uganda Martyrs Day commemoration in June 2024, where screening led to the diagnosis of 11 TB cases.
