Division councillors and city stakeholders learned about the TB burden in their communities and their role in the response.
To strengthen local governance in the fight against TB, USTP convened 50 Kampala city leaders and stakeholders, including division councillors and other influential figures.
The meeting focused on the TB burden in their communities and the leaders’ role in raising awareness and advocating for TB control. Participants received evidence-based information and tools to engage their communities, reduce stigma and improve access to TB services.
The leaders committed to including TB advocacy in their platforms so that TB remains a priority in local decisions and resource allocation.
