Making a Difference in the Fight Against TB
Uganda Stop TB Partnership (USTP) plays a critical role in addressing the TB epidemic in Uganda. Through its strategic initiatives, partnerships, and advocacy efforts, USTP has made substantial contributions towards reducing the burden of tuberculosis. Below are some of the key areas where USTP has made a significant impact:
Strengthening National TB Control Programs
USTP has been instrumental in supporting Uganda’s National TB and Leprosy Program (NTLP) through collaboration and resource mobilization. The organization works closely with government bodies, civil society organizations, and private sector players to enhance TB control efforts. USTP’s advocacy efforts have also played a major role in ensuring that TB remains a national priority.

Community Empowerment and Awareness
USTP’s community mobilization initiatives have raised awareness about TB and its prevention. Through World TB Day campaigns and outreach programs, USTP has empowered communities to take action and participate in TB prevention and treatment efforts.

- Spearheaded World TB Day events across the country, reaching over 1 million people.

Advocacy for TB Funding and Policy Change

Capacity Building and Training
USTP is dedicated to strengthening the capacity of local healthcare providers, civil society organizations, and community leaders to improve the quality of TB care. - Trained over 500 healthcare workers and community leaders in TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
